Ubiquitous suppression of the nodal coherent spectral weight in Bi-based cuprates

چکیده

High-temperature superconducting cuprates exhibit an intriguing phenomenology for the low-energy elementary excitations. In particular, unconventional temperature dependence of coherent spectral weight (CSW) has been observed in phase by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), both at antinode where d-wave paring gap is maximum, as well along gapless nodal direction. Here, we combine equilibrium and time-resolved ARPES to track dependent meltdown CSW Bi-based with unprecedented sensitivity. We find suppression upon increasing be ubiquitous across single- double-layer Bi cuprates, uncorrelated pseudogap onset temperatures. quantitatively model lineshape features anomalous within Fermi-Liquid framework, establishing key role played normal state electrodynamics description quasiparticles cuprates.

Scaling properties of the optical conductivity of Bi-based cuprates

We present novel infrared optical conductivity data on the three layer high Tc superconductor Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 at optimal doping. We extend the analysis of an earlier publication, providing a universal scaling function σ(ω, T ) = T−1g(ω/T ) for the optical conductivity. In the present manuscript we obtain a good scaling collapse of the experimental curves on the g(ω/T ) over a wide range of valu...

Magnetically Coupled Bi-layer Cuprates

We propose a possible mechanism of pseudo spin gap anomaly(PSGA) in magnetically coupled bi-layer cuprates without any fermion pairing instability. In our proposal PSGA does not necessarily require the spin-charge separation or the breakdown of the Fermi liquid description of a normal state of the cuprate superconductor. The low energy magnetic excitations are mainly governed by the itinerant n...

Spectral Properties of Underdoped Cuprates

In the framework of the planar t-J model for cuprates we analyze the development of a pseudo gap in the density of states, which at low doping starts to emerge for temperaturesT < J and persists up to the optimum doping. The analysis is based on numerical results for spectral functions obtained with the finite-temperature Lanczos method for finite two-dimensional clusters. Numerical results are...
